One of the great things about an electric vehicle (EV) is that you can charge it up at home or the office. Most vehicles come with a portable three-pin charging cable these days, which means your electric car can be plugged into a normal power point. These types of chargers should include an in-cable control and protection device (ICCPD) for safety. Please note, you should never use a charger without an ICCPD!

Wall Chargers for a faster recharge

The downside of the three-pin charging cable is that they’re slow. They use a trickle charge system that can take 12-14 hours to fully charge your car. For a faster charge, we can install electric vehicle wall chargers, which are ideal if you travel a lot from home, or if you’re wanting to charge a fleet of business vehicles. Wall chargers provide a fast charge, so can reduce charging time from empty to fully charged to around 4 hours.
